Apotti has made a decision to use Duodecim’s electronic decision support system (EBMeDS\u00ae), which brings context sensitive guidance at the point of care, in their Epic system. Apotti Oy is a consortium of 4 municipalities and HUS, which is the largest hospital district in Finland. Apotti serves a population base of 1,6 million people with 35.000 staff.<\/p>\n

Epic’s electronic health record system (EHR ) is at the core of Apotti ecosystem. Duodecim’s decision support will be integrated with Epic’s EHR and it compliments Epic\u2019s versatile decision support. Duodecim’s service combines seamlessly patient data with the latest medical knowledge and treatment recommendations. Based on this, the application provides patient-specific treatment recommendations, reminders and warnings to support the work of healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

“One of the basic foundations of the Apotti project has been to help create more personalized, better and safer care. Co-operation with a trusted Finnish partner Duodecim for a long time will enable this, “says Hannu V\u00e4lim\u00e4ki, Managing Director of Oy Apotti Ab.<\/p>\n

“The agreement with Duodecim is one part of Apot’s model, where new product and service innovations can be added around the core system,” continues V\u00e4lim\u00e4ki.<\/p>\n
