In collaboration with Duodecim-UTA Training Program on Global Health >>

This online course is originally part of Global Health training programme and it is directed at students participating in the Global
Health programme, but it is open for all other people who are interested in Global Health issues. The purpose of the online course is to give the
students an idea of Global Health and to get the students familiarized with the topic before the actual teaching period starts. Hopefully the
course will also encourage students to study Global Health more in depth.
The course consists of four modules: 'what is GH', 'how to measure health', 'distribution of health' and 'social determinants of health'.
In addition to these themes, the course includes a separate group work assignment send by email to students of Global Health training program.
The modules are preferably done in numerical order, starting from the module 'What is GH?' and so on. It is preferable to acquaint oneself
with the group work assignment in the very beginning. Each module starts with an introductory question and ends with a summary. It takes about
from 2 to 3 hours to complete the course.
